For the last 23 years, my residential design practice has been located on the Square in Georgetown Texas. During that period, 70% of our design clients have relocated to live in Georgetown.
On an regular basis, the same thing happens...I have a new client in for a meeting, we go to lunch On the Square, and on the way back to my office they all profess the same statement:
“I can’t believe I’m going to get to live here!”
I’ve heard this said countlesss times and it never gets old seeing it in someone’s eyes for the first time. Georgetown is a wonderful place and worth preserving for generations to come.
1. Maintain the safety and security Georgetown currently enjoys as the 3rd Safest City in Texas per a May 2019 report by SafeHome.org for cities above 50,000 in population.
2. Attempt to improve Mobility in Georgetown through additional roads, turn lanes, sidewalks, additional handicap parking, and the synchronization of COGT traffic signals.
3. Preserve the Charm that embodies living in Georgetown, Texas, through Historic Preservation of our downtown square, embracing our many festivals, traditions, and regular events like the Red Poppy Festival, 2nd Saturday, and the new Two Step Inn concert festival at San Gabriel Park.
